Flipboard For Android Has Been Updated To Support The Daydream Feature In Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
Flipboard released a new update that adds support for the Daydream feature included in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
For those of you who don’t know, the Daydream feature is a screensaver that appears on Android 4.2 devices when the device is plugged in or loaded on a dock.
Flipboard is taking advantage of this new feature by combining their app with the Daydream feature. Your Flipboard headlines will now appear on your screen as they are published. You can also select which of your Flipboard covers you want to appear on your screensaver.
The latest Flipboard update also include various bug fixes, like the occasional accidental flip that would occur as you’re trying to scroll.
This is cool - I think Flipboard is one of the few applications I would really enjoy having set up for Daydream...think of the quick access to the information you want - in an appealing design. Fashion and functionality - this would work great with a Nexus 7 docked in landscape mode. Count me in for those excited!
