It seems that Open webOS just won’t die, and we dearly hope it never does. Yet another Android device has been graced with a port of the legendary and doomed OS, and this time it is the Nexus 7. Just like every other build out there, it’s in early alpha and is not very usable. Most importantly, it lacks hardware acceleration, so there is a ton of lag. However, it has full touchscreen support, WiFi, brightness, and a dedicated gesture area. It’s progressed quite far. It’d be great to see fully working ports of webOS on the Nexus 7, and we can only hope that this port will be worked on and fixed up eventually.
