Pebble Smartwatch Finally Has Solid Shipping Date, 23rd For Kickstarter Backers

The Pebble smartwatch started out on Kickstarter as a small project and grew to huge proportions. Its Kickstarter page ended at $10 million, an insane number compared to its $100,000 goal. However, the device has been through some hardships. There have been delays after delays getting it out to customers, and we can imagine it has made people upset. However, Pebble had some good news at CES today.

The Pebble smartwatch is finally done, and will be shipping to Kickstarter backers on January 23rd, so if you backed the project, you may get your watch very soon. The orders will be sent out in six to eight weeks total and they are producing them at around 15,000 watches a week. We’re glad to see the Pebble come out of its issues perfectly fine, as even we were afraid it would fail. Are any of you excited to see it shipping soon? How many of you backed it? Tell us in the comments!
