It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note II isn’t the only smartphone in Samsung’s arsenal set to receive new color options. SamMobile has just received a tip that the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini will receive 3 new color options.
The colors to be added to the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini inventory are: Titan Gray, Garnet Red, and Onyx Black.
The new color options look awesome and we have to say that the inclusion of Onyx Black has been long overdue. We know that we, and many of you, would love to see the Onyx Black color option on the Samsung Galaxy S III as well as the Samsung Galaxy Note II.
There’s no word yet on when these new colors will be released, but at the same time we have to ask if any of you care? Many of you were less than intrigued by the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, especially because of the shorter display size, as well as the lackluster specs.
Here are the specs for those of you who haven’t seen them yet:
- 4″ WVGA 800×480 Super AMOLED display (probably PenTile)
- 1 GHz dual core processor
- 1 GB of RAM
- 8 or 16 GB of memory with microSD card slot
- 5MP autofocus camera with flash, VGA front facing camera
- 1,500 mAh battery
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- HSPA 14.4/5.76 900/1900/2100
- EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900
The specs aren’t great, but then again Samsung intended this device to appeal to the lower-end market of consumers who prefer a cheap handset to an expensive, high-end handset.
Despite being on the lower-end of the scale, the specs aren’t completely horrible. I also have to admit that even though the device doesn’t pack amazing specs, it does seeem appealing to me. Maybe I’m nostalgic for the days when I used to own a white MyTouch 3G (bittersweet times).
