The Samsung Godiva Won’t Be The Successor To The Samsung Stratosphere?

It looks like the Samsung Godiva won’t be a true successor to the Samsung Stratosphere. Leaked images of the Godiva shows that it doesn’t carry a physical QWERTY keyboard.

It looks like the manufacturers really are trying to nix hardware keyboards (shouldn’t a Droid 5 have been announced by now?).

The Samsung Godiva somewhat reminds me of the Samsung DROID Charge, mostly because of the capacitive buttons and the way they’re shaped at the bottom of the phone

So far the Samsung Godiva has been confirmed to have these specs:

  • 1280 x 720 display resolution
  • 1.4GHz dual-core MSM8960 SoC
  • Adreno 305 graphics
  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
  • Verizon Wireless LTE
  • NFC Capabilities

We’re not sure what Samsung’s going to call the device. Who knows, maybe it really will end up being called the Samsung Godiva.

What are your thoughts on the Samsung Godiva? Would you buy one?

Well I still have my Droid Charge which has never been rooted. It has become slower of late so I'm gonna root it finally I think. I don't need to buy another one. Going with LG Intuition!! Reason-- All Samsung phones have a poor antenna! I live on the edge of reception and need the better one.

GramieDroid Untrue. I've had a Galaxy S, S II, and Note II, and they've all had fantastic antennas. Nothing but good signal for me.
