ASUS recently announced the 7 inch MeMo Pad, diving into the budget market head first. It was basically a redesigned Nexus 7 body with an even lower price tag and some low end specs. We aren’t saying it’s a bad thing though, considering the price tag. But that left a big part of the tablet market out of the equation: larger tablets.
Now we get to see the mysterious MeMo Pad 10 in action. Though unannounced by ASUS, it has already appeared in an unboxing. It also had its full spec sheet leaked. It will have a 10.1″ 1280×800 display, a 1.2GHz Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a microSD card slot. Looking at the specs and watching the video, all I can see is a slightly modified Transformer Pad TF300. While it would be a good thing to re-release the TF300 in a cheaper package, as the TF300 is a very good tablet, the decision to not make the design similar to its little brother is a bit perplexing. Would you get one of these if it was priced just right?
