Chromebook Pixel Video Leaks, Shows Off Touchscreen And High Res Display

A company called SlinkyMe seemed to have accidentally posted a video of something called the Chromebook Pixel. They claim it was hackers, but it could have been an accident for all we know. The video has been removed since, but we have this screen cap of the laptop. It is said to have a 2560×1700 resolution touchscreen, and from the looks of it, it’s designed to be sexy (let’s not mention what it looks like).

This Chromebook would be Google branded, meaning it’s taking a similar approach to the Nexus line of Android devices. They designed this Chromebook and are probably partnering with a manufacturer to build it. Hopefully this will be released soon at a low price tag, as it might spur the adoptions of Chromebooks. HP releasing one helps too, because even though it might not be the best of the bunch, a big company adopting Chrome OS is a huge step. Of course, we don’t even know if it’s real, but we like to think so.

What do you guys think? Do you like the high res screen? Would you buy a Chromebook?
