December comScore Numbers Show Android Still On Top (Obviously)

The December 3 month period comScore numbers and in, and it’s more of the same thing. In the software part of it, Android rose 0.9 points to 53.4%, while iOS rose a whole 2 points to 36.3%. Blackberry dropped 2 points, but that might very well change in the next few months. Sadly, Windows Phone dropped 0.7 points to only 2.9%. Symbian stayed constant at 0.6%.

On the manufacturer front, Apple rose the same 2 points (obviously) and Samsung rose a healthy 2.3 points to 21%. HTC dropped 1.8 points to 10.2%, Motorola dropped 0.7 points to 9.1%, and LG rose 0.5 points to a 5th place 7.1%.

With every survey showing different data, it’s hard to know what’s going on, but the general consensus is that Apple and Samsung are on top, fighting it out for the number one spot. It’s too bad other manufacturers are falling behind.
