HTC is forecasting that its Q1 2013 revenue will be even lower than its terrible Q4 2012 results. It believes its revenue for Q1 2013 will fall up to 17% compared to Q4, while margins remain flat to low.

HTC’s expects its Q1 revenue to be around T$50 billion to T$60 billion ($1.69-2.03 billion), which is similar to the T$60 billion revenue it made in Q4 2012 and much lower than the T$65.75 billion it made in Q1 2012.

Things should turn around for HTC in Q2 2013, however, thanks to the impending launch of its new flagship device, the HTC M7.

HTC also has a new CMO (chief marketing officer), Benjamin Ho, who plans to completely revamp HTC’s marketing strategy in order to get them up to speed with its competitors.

Hopefully the announcement of the HTC M7 will help get consumers excited about HTC products again. They have a lot riding on that device.
