Huawei’s Ascend P2 is a pretty impressive device, but what makes it the world’s fastest smartphone? Believe it or not, this label is actually true. To make it the world’s fastest, Huawei included a new 4G LTE Category 4 radio capable of a massive 150 megabits per second connection. No other device so far supports this, though Qualcomm will be pushing these radios to new devices in the second half of 2013. Though 150 megabit LTE networks are not even available, it’s still enough to earn it such a title.
Looking at the specs, you’ll find a 4.7″ 720p IPS display, a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, a 13 MP camera in the back and a 1.3 MP camera up front, a 2,420 mAh battery, NFC, and Android 4.1. It’s not the world’s fastest device in terms of power, but it’s quite nice for its thin 8.4mm body. It’s a good device that will come out sometime in Q2. Release date and price has not been announced, so stay tuned for more news. Until then, tell us what you think!
