LG May Push Up The Launch Of The G Pro To Avoid Being Overshadowed By The Galaxy S IV

According to the Korean site, K.Bench, LG may push up the launch date of its LG Optimus G Pro in order to better compete with the Samsung Galaxy S IV.
LG fears that next month’s announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S IV may have a hugely negative impact on the sales of the G Pro, so it plans on pushing up the launch date of the G Pro to the end of February.
LG’s fears are understandable, considering that Samsung is the top Android manufacturer at the moment and the Galaxy S IV is one of the most highly anticipated devices of the year. Launching the G Pro after the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S IV would most definitely hurt sales.
The LG Optimus G Pro will launch with slightly different specs compared to its Japanese variant:
- 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 FHD IPS LCD display
- 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor
- 32 GB Internal memory with microSD card slot for expandable storage
- 2GB RAM
- 13MP rear-facing camera
- 2.1MP front-facing camera
- 3,140 mAh battery
- LTE capable
- Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Are you considering buying the LG Optimus G Pro over the Samsung Galaxy S IV?
5.5 inches and no stylus? Yeah, right. I'm looking forward to either the Samsung Galaxy S IV, HTC M7, or the Sony Xperia Z. That, or the next Nexus.
