The Samsung Galaxy Discover Is Coming To Net10 And Straight Talk

Samsung is releasing an entry-level smartphone to Net10 and Straight Talk very soon. The device will be called the Samsung Discover, and one of the major difference between this device and other Samsung devices is that this one will be running stock Android rather than Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.

Despite the fact that the Samsung Discover will offer the stock Android experience, it’s still a pretty terrible phone. Here are the specs for it:

  • 3.5-inch HVGA display
  • 800MHz single-core processor
  • 2.7GB internal memory with a microSD card slot for expandable storage
  • 3MP rear-facing camera
  • 1,300 mAh battery
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

It’s a bad phone, but it should be appealing to the people who don’t care about mobile technology and just need a phone that can make calls and text.

Don't you  think this is going to be more affordable for many people who want to have a smart phone? Samsung is being smart by offering this phone. At least it has 4.0. My Droid Charge is stuck in Gingerbread land. This is definitely not in the same league with Galaxy but it does have the Samsung shape. So many people out of work and living on unemployment and such. This will be appreciated for what it is.
