Ubuntu Touch Dev Preview Coming To The Galaxy Nexus And Nexus 4 February 21st
Ubuntu has been working hard on their mobile OS, showing off the software on the Galaxy Nexus not long ago. Developers will soon be able to get a taste of it soon, namely February 21st, with the developer preview. On that day, Canonical will release builds of their OS for both the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 (we’re glad to see the Nexus 4 being included, as it’s a major developer device).
It won’t be a flashable zip like most Android ROMs are these days, it’ll require flashing tools. Remember, it’s a whole different operating system! And if you’re interested, there will be an Ubuntu booth at Mobile World Congress that’ll flash Ubuntu on your device for you. This will quicken adoption for the OS while we wait for the dedicated Ubuntu device that should come this October. Who’s going to give this a shot?

It's really cool that they'll flash your device for you at MWC. This is totally something to try out. If my next phone is WP8 or iOS I'll likely keep my Nexus running Android, but if I get a new Android phone I'll probably flash it with Ubuntu.
