Yesterday, the Sprint Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch got an update to Jelly Bean, complete with the new Nature UX. A day later, the closest brother the Epic 4G Touch ever had, the AT&T Galaxy S II, is also getting an update. This is a big reason to get excited, right? Yes and no. Unfortunately, the update doesn’t change the Android version; it’s still stuck on 4.0.4.
However, there has been a bug in the 4.0.4 firmware that would cause the Sleep of Death constantly. This means that the phone would stop responding to any input and just freeze randomly. This update should fix it, along with some security issues, so there is a reason to be excited. It’ll make your device stable again.
