With some pretty good indicators the developers of Chameleon launcher were preparing a version specific for smartphones thanks to a teaser video back in early January, we’re happy to see it go live. The successful Kickstarter project turned popular Android launcher is finally available for smartphones for $2.91 on the Play Store.

Chameleon Launcher is a Home Screen replacement. This version will run on both phones and tablet devices. It lets you create multiple home screens, each with your own layout of Widgets and Apps. The Chameleon app includes an innovative context based home screen system giving you the most relevant information you want – when you want it.

Chameleon launched to mixed reviews, but the developers have been quick to react to negative feedback and make swift improvements. Early feedback on the dedicated phone launcher seems mostly positive.
