While many cities have had live transit information for their public transport systems, New York City strangely has not. Live transit information shows departure times for buses and subways, allowing you to better plan your route. This is awesome information, and starting today, New York City and Salt Lake City are getting all of it in Google Maps, so residents of those cities rejoice.
And if you live in Washington, D.C., there will be live service alerts available to warn you of delays or construction on the tracks. Are any of you happy about this change?
