This sounds like bad news for all of you peeps anxiously awaiting the arrival of the HTC One. Retailers in the UK have been told by HTC to change their release date to March 29 rather than the planned March 15 release. This comes right after we heard that HTC was having some trouble getting enough Ultrapixel sensors for the beastly device. While that isn’t the confirmed issue of the delay, it seems like a probable cause.
T-Mobile has also given official word on the issue. HTC is now saying:
We will start fulfilling pre-orders by end March in certain markets and will roll out to more markets as we approach April.
So it sounds like HTC will probably release in key markets at the end of March and then do their full global rollout in April. This isn’t what we would have hoped would happen for HTC’s flagship but hopefully it doesn’t turn out to be too much of a mess. If you recall, the Galaxy S III had all sorts of delay problems at its launch last year as well. Are you upset by this latest piece of news?
