Sprint Launches LTE In 9 New Markets

In the race for a nationwide 4G LTE network, there are two big players and two underdogs. Verizon has the biggest network, by far, with AT&T slowly but surely catching up. T-Mobile has just started making theirs, so this leaves Sprint in third place. They’re growing the network step by step, and today marks another big step in the right direction. Sprint is launching LTE in nine new markets:

  • Altoona, Pa.
  • Asheville, N.C.
  • Columbus, Ind.
  • Elkhart/Goshen, Ind.
  • Hammond, La.
  • La Crosse, Wis.
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Statesville, N.C.
  • Temple, Texas

Their network is getting there, and hopefully it’ll pick up speed. Sprint needs it. Are any of you Sprint customers in those areas? Where would you like to see LTE next?

I love how the Superbowl was in Indy last year, but we had probably the slowest 3G speeds out of all of the carriers. That, and while everyone else was using their 4G speed, I was slowly but surely uploading my pictures online while my friends did it nearly instantly.

Wake up Sprint. I don't get why Evansville has 4G, but the capitol city does not.
