Prepare for madness. A Chinese variant of the HTC One, with the model number 802w meant for China Unicom, has both a second SIM slot and a microSD card slot under a removable cover. Every design sacrifice made in the normal One has been thrown out there door, aside from a removable battery of course. But expandable storage could have made this device so much better, and now it has. Unfortunately, this model will never come to the US, so we may never get to see its glory. What do you guys think? Would you be far more tempted to buy an HTC One if it had a microSD card slot? Or is it irrelevant to you? Tell us in the comments!
having a micro SD slot is a lot better than a built-in memory. I can upgrade it to higher capacity memory of micro-SD. Dual sim mobile phone is so convenient too. but hope there’s something that enables it to use Google services. I’ll soon to have one, it’s coming my way fromhttp://www.merimobiles.com/htc-one-802w-dual-sim-active-root-option_p/meri7422.htm they’re having more detailed specs. it has a removable back cover but the battery is not removable, is that a pros or cons?
What design sacrifices are you talking about? from the image above, It seems to look exactly the same as the normal version of the One, but with the inclusions and removable door.
How is this any different from the original One in terms of asthetics?
AlexZimmerman The design sacrifices I was talking about were lack of microSD and dual SIM (though the latter isn't necessary for most). And I'm not sure how it looks in the front. I'm curious about what the battery door is made of.
