Google has announced that it will be making a big announcement with the city of Austin, Texas. They did not state what the announcement was about, but they say it’s really important. So important, in fact, that over 100 community leaders and elected officials will be there. Here is the full statement by Google:
On Tuesday, April 9, at 11 a.m., the City of Austin and Google will make a very important announcement that will have a positive impact on Austinites and the future of the city. We anticipate more than 100 community leaders and elected officials to be in attendance to celebrate this announcement. The event invitation is attached for your convenience. Although we cannot share the details of the announcement with you in advance, we know readers will want to learn more, so we encourage you to join us on Tuesday.
But considering that Austin was one of the cities trying to become the test bed for Google Fiber, and also a city thriving with technology, it may very well be Google Fiber with partnerships with all the companies residing there. There have also been rumors of a new campus in Texas, but so far, we don’t know. It’s only a few more days until the announcement, so tell us, what do you think it is?
