LG Lucid 2 Coming To Verizon For Free On Contract

While mid range offerings are not lacking on the Verizon network (the DROID RAZR M is a particularly great phone that comes to mind), another is heading to stores on April 4th. This device is the LG Lucid 2, the successor to the original Lucid. And unlike the DROID RAZR M, it’s completely free with a new two year contract. But what does it offer? Here is a list of specs:

  • 4.3-inch qHD (960×540) IPS display
  • 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 5-megapixel rear camera
  • 8GB storage, microSD card slot
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4G LTE connectivity with mobile hotspot support for up to 10 devices
  • Wireless charging capabilities (wireless charging battery cover and charging pad sold separately)
  • 2,460mAh battery
  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, complete with LG-added features like Quick Memo, Simple Mode/Standard Mode and Video Editor

While the processor is a step down from the RAZR M’s 1.5GHz S4 Plus, and the camera has a lower megapixel count, it comes with a beefier 2,460 mAh battery that should last you quite a while. Plus, you get the benefits of Jelly Bean, like Google Now. And if you’re a new user to Android, there is also a simple mode for easier use of the device. If you want one, you’ll be able to buy one in two days!
