Samsung is no stranger to strong demand, selling millions upon millions of devices worldwide. They even claimed that part of the reason for their plastic construction is ease of fabrication and construction, which would help curbing demand. But it seems even Samsung was unprepared for the swarm of people wanting the Galaxy S 4, or they have a manufacturing problem and they’re keeping quiet about it. A Samsung representative had this to say:
Due to overwhelming global demand of Galaxy S 4, the initial supply may be limited. We expect to fulfill inventory to meet demands in the coming weeks.
This is probably why Sprint and T-Mobile delayed their retail launch dates. Will this become a serious problem, or is it something that will blow over in a week? Or will these supply issues continue? The Galaxy S 4 is a coveted device, so we’ll have to see.
