Oh Samsung, if this new report is true you’ve absolutely adopted the “go big or go home” mindset. According to SamMobile, which does offer a good track record for Samsung leaks, two new “Galaxy Mega” devices are on the horizon. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 (GT-i9152) packs a 5.8″ display and should appear commercially around the middle of May. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 (GT-i9200) packs a 6.3″ screen and should unveil itself to the public around the middle of June. According to the report, the new “Mega” branding is the actual name Samsung will use for the pair of devices. Unfortunately no specs were offered other than to say the Mega 5.8 will come in white and the Mega 6.3 available in both black and white.
If we think back to the unveiling of the Galaxy S 4 and its launch accessories, the GamePad was said to hold devices up to 6.3″, which should serve as a pretty good indicator that Samsung has something “Mega” on the horizon. Whether it’s this “Mega” device or an upcoming Note III is anyones guess, but it sounds like we’ll know for sure soon enough.
