WhatsApp Is Not Discussing A Sale With Google

There were rumors going around earlier that Google would buy the popular chat client WhatsApp. WhatsApp offers free messaging over data but using your phone number as identification, to replace costly texting plans. The app is free, but the service costs $0.99 per year after the first free year (obviously reasonable).

WhatsApp business developerment head Neeraj Arora stated that they are not talking to Google about selling the company. Those rumors are simply not true. The same happened last year, except the rumored buyer was Facebook. I guess someone is starting these rumors and really wants WhatsApp bought. But now that the rumors are proven untrue, WahtsApp will stay its own app. Do any of you use WhatsApp?
