The Samsung Galaxy Camera is a very interesting concept, but was released at a high price. Not only was the device $500, but you also had to pay for a data plan. And while the hardware was worth the price, with the big 4.8″ display and quad core processor inside, it didn’t quite take photos worth $500. So Samsung has announced a WiFi only model of their camera.
This model has identical specs to the data-enabled one, with the same 16.3MP sensor, quad core processor, and Jelly Bean 4.1, but it removes the data capabilities to create a cheaper package. Unfortunately, that package ends up only $50 cheaper, as the WiFi only Galaxy Camera ends up being $449. That’s a good price for what it is though, and it’ll be available later this month. Would you consider getting one now that it is devoid of data? Tell us in the comments!
