The new Gmail experience was unveiled yesterday, and I was pretty impressed. It would automatically sort emails into five tabs, Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates, and Forums. You could customize the tabs, and it would learn based on the emails you re-sorted if it got anything wrong. Read the original article for more info about this new user interface. It seemed like an awesome way to organize emails, and now you can try it!
Go ahead and open Gmail in your desktop browser. Hit the gear at the top right, and you should see Configure inbox, like this:
If you don’t see it, refresh the page. It took me refreshing it before it showed up. After this, you should have it! I personally don’t like it much after trying it out, as I’d much prefer to just see all my email at once, so I think I’ll disable it after giving it a chance for a few days. But I’d love to hear what you think!
