Previously, Gmail would give you 10GB of storage for all your emails and such. On top of that, you’d get 5GB for Google Drive storage and Google+ Photos. This would result in a lot of wasted space, if you were a heavy user of only one of those services. This is now a thing of the past, as Google is rolling out a new storage system. Instead of separated storage, you’ll get a total of 15GB for everything, including Google Drive. This means that if your usage of Gmail storage and Google+ Photos is sparse, your Drive storage will be tripled.
And if you’re a heavy Gmail user and you upgraded to 25GB but it’s still not enough, this new plan means that whatever you buy for Drive will now be usable with Gmail. You can get 100GB of more with one of their plans. All these changes will be rolling out over the next few weeks, so you may not see these changes immediately. But rest assured, everyone is getting this significant upgrade. What do you guys think? Leave a comment!
