Google Fiber used to be this exclusive club of sorts, with only one city being graced with it. Now, Google is announcing new cities left and right. Of course, that’s an amazing thing. Gigabit internet at low prices will definitely boost competition and get other internet providers to actually provide something good.
The next city to announce Google Fiber is Gladstone, Missouri. It’s another city that’s close to Kansas City, so the area itself is expanding. Their council has officially voted in Fiber, so Google can get started on all the hard stuff. Planning and building the network may take a long time, probably many years, so don’t get too excited right now. But it’s coming, so you can look forward to it!
