With the HTC One becoming such a hit, it looks like HTC wants to capitalize on its new device aesthetic. Akin to what Samsung did with the Galaxy S III Mini, this leaked render suggests that HTC will be making a lower end device that looks almost exactly like the One. This is the HTC M4, a step down from the One (codenamed M7). And we have to say, it looks very nice.
According to the leak, it’s going to be a very respectable 4.3″ display with a 720p resolution, probably pulled from the HTC First. It’ll come with a dual core processor instead of the One’s quad core, but will retain the high end 2GB of RAM. It’ll also have 16GB of memory and an Ultrapixel camera, paired with a 1,700 mAh battery. It is said to launch by the end of the second quarter with Jelly Bean 4.2 pre-loaded.
Along with the aesthetic, it looks to retain the metal body and the dual front facing speaker setup HTC likes to call BoomSound. We can’t wait for this to launch, because it might be the first really nice small phone we see. Hopefully they can keep the price down with the inclusion of metal construction and an Ultrapixel camera, so we’ll see. But tell us your thoughts on this leaked device!
