T-Mobile Galaxy S III Receiving Update to 4.1.2, Multi-Window In Tow

T-Mobile Galaxy S III owners are in for a big treat. T-Mobile has released an update for the device, bringing it up to Android 4.1.2. This may not sound like a big update, but it has quite a few treats included. The biggest change of all is the inclusion of multi-window, something only Sprint has put on the S III before them. This will allow you to use two apps at once, side by side.

Alongside that, there is also some basic stuff like an Easy Mode for the homescreen, Blocking Mode, a new (but useless) app called Paper Artist, a new gallery, a new 4G icon, and various other features. Here is a full changelog of this new update:

  • Multi-Window
  • Auto-pairing via NFC
  • enhanced Camera options
  • Sound Balance
  • Paper Artist
  • Samsung Gallery
  • Blocking Mode
  • Easy Mode

To update, you’ll have to download the 168MB file and have 50% or more in your battery. This is an OTA update, so you can wait for the notification or check for updates manually in Settings. Or, if you wish to do so, you can use Samsung Kies desktop software for the update, though we can’t imagine why.
