We’ve got a whole line-up of product announcements happening this morning with ASUS kicking off Computex 2013 in Taiwan. Some of the first things to be released were the ASUS Fonepad Note and a couple of new MeMo tablets. The Fonepad Note FHD 6 is a, you guessed it, 6″ phablet with that oversized display being of the Super IPS+ variety with a 1920×1080 resolution. ASUS also mentioned that the display is good for outdoor viewing with 450 nits of brightness. Other specs include a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor, 2GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G connectivity, an S Pen-esque stylus, and front-facing speakers.
The new MeMo Pad tablets were also announced today with a new MeMo Pad HD 7 the MeMo Pad FHD 10. Starting with the MeMo Pad HD 7, it has a 1280×800 7″ display, quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 8 or 16GB of storage with a microSD card slot. Pricing for the MeMo Pad HD 7 has been released with the 8GB model priced at just $129 for the 8GB model and $149 for the 16GB model.
The MeMo Pad FHD 10 shares some of the same specs with its 7″ brother but differs in other ways. The MeMo Pad FHD 10 is powered by Intel’s new 1.6GHz Atom Z2560 processor, features a 10″ 1920×1080 display, but also has a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a microSD card slot. Memory options for the 10″ option are 16GB and 32GB and both tablets run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Sadly, ASUS hasn’t been as keen to release pricing details on the Fonepad Note FHD 6 or the MeMo Pad FHD 10. Stay tuned for more info though because we’ll be sure to have it as soon as it’s revealed. Are any of you guys interested in these new products from ASUS?
