If you’re one of the people that finds build quality more important than anything else, Samsung and AT&T have a new device coming out for you. The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active has a metal construction, giving it an IP67 rating. This means that it’s waterproof in a meter of liquid for 30 minutes and fully dust proof. It’s a rugged device that shares most of its specs with the standard Galaxy S 4, so despite the tough exterior, you’re still getting some good power.
The device comes with a 5 inch 1080p LCD display (not AMOLED), a 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, an 8MP camera capable of shooting photos underwater, and of course Android 4.2. It will be shipping June 18th, but you can pre-order it today. It will be $199.99 on contract, just like its less rugged but by no means dainty brother. If you’re interested in buying one of these in either gray or teal, hit the source link and pre-order it!
