Google+ Android App Updated With Slide Out Menu And Global Notifications

The Google+ Android app is getting another (staged) rollout with more significantly improvements! The biggest change is the addition of global notifications. If you read or dismiss a Google+ notification on one device, it’ll be shown as read or dismissed everywhere else. This means that it’s the end of repeat notifications across all of your devices. In addition, the new notifications icon is a bell, just in case you didn’t like the old one.

The new notification tray has also been modified, with a new separator between read and unread notifications to help you differentiate between new and old. That’s pretty helpful.

There are also smaller changes in the app, like the ability to delete photos from the Photos view, posts displaying +1′s, comments and reshares all at once, and a new slide out drawer like the other Google apps have. It’s a really nice update, as most updates are, so hit the source link or open the Play Store on your device to update it. However, if you don’t see the update because you’re not in on the staged rollout yet, you can download the APK here. Let us know what you think of the new app!
