Owners of the HTC One are eagerly awaiting the update that will bring their phones Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. If the head of HTC Russia is correct, the update should be released in mid-June. Kormiltsev Andrey tweeted yesterday that the “HTC One upgrade to 4.2.2 scheduled for mid-June. For FOTA.” This is probably accurate as he’s been replying to followers and assuring them that he is actually talking about the HTC One and the impending Android 4.2.2 update. This would make sense with the recent leaks that have come out regarding the update.
While this is good news and I don’t want to rain on anybody’s parade, remember that he’s probably referring to the international HTC One. And if our guess is right, the unlocked and developer editions will probably come after that with carrier updates following them at a later date. If you have an international model, this could be good news but US owners might still have a bit of a wait on their hands.
