It seems like we can’t have enough tablet announcements today. ASUS had their turn and Samsung decided that they would announce two tablets as well. First came the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and now we have the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0. While the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 isn’t incredibly powerful, it’s not too badly specced. We’ve got an 8″ 1280×800 display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and either 16GB or 32GB of storage that can be expanded via a microSD card. Talking connectivity, there’ll be a Wi-Fi only model as well as 3G and 4G options.
The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 with Samsung’s TouchWiz overlay so it’s no slouch in the software department. There’s no word of pricing or an exact release date but judging by the specs, it shouldn’t be too hard on your wallet. Anybody interested in the Tab 3 8.0?
