Android 2.3 Gingerbread was just released moments ago, along with the new SDK. Minutes and some updates later I had the Gingerbread emulator up and running ready for some video capturing. The Android Developers site has posted new numbers regarding version adoption and 2.2 is at the top of the list with 43.4%. 2.1 now stands at 39.6%, and Android 1.6 and 1.5 hold 10.6% and 6.3%, respectively. This may not be huge news in terms of mitigating Android's fragmentation issues, but the differences between 2.1 and 2.2 are less dramatic than the differences...
