Another update for the Apple vs Samsung conflict. It looks like after Apple got its injunction against Sammy's SGT 10.1. Well, Samsung went back to the drawing board and responded with the SGT 10.1N. Well, this story is getting a little tired, but Apple's back at it. That's not to say that the Suwon-based smartphone manufacturer, Samsung, is free of guilt. Anyone getting annoyed of lawsuits yet? Apparently not Motorola, which as it turns out, is bad news for Apple. As of this morning, Motorola has successfully sued Apple in Germany and set a precedent for a sales ban on all iOS devices for all of Europe. It's been a long battle against Apple, and today we have some good news. Apple has lost the appeal to ban Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, and sales of the Tab 10.1 will resume this coming Monday. After Samsung was forced to change the design of the Tab 10.1 just to sell it in Germany, it's great to that judges are finally siding with the little green robot.... Read more »
Eric Schmidt sat down at Le Web in Paris to talk about Android, among other things. He made some bold statements regarding iOS to a crowd dominated by Apple gadgets. Samsung dodged the bullet, so to speak, late yesterday when U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose, California denied Apple's request to ban the sale of three of its smartphone models and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the U.S..
