Google Forgets About December In Android 4.2, Removes Need For Christmas Music

Bad Google, bad as you’ve forgotten about Christmas, and December and Santa and New Year’s Eve. All joking aside, Android 4.2 appears to have a “small” bug that appears to have dismissed December as a necessary calendar month. We know that with every new Android release, bugs are likely to be found we’re ok with that, but its kind of a funny blooper… Read more

Sprint Updates Their Galaxy Note II, Adds Multi Window

Outside of the US, the Samsung Galaxy Note II has a famous feature called Multi Window. It allows you to run two apps at the same time, one on top of the other, on the massive 5.5″ HD display. It’s a great multitasking feature, but it’s been strangely absent in all the US models. We don’t know of any possible reason, but that’s the way it is…. Read more

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II Getting Small Update Through Kies

The T-Mobile Galaxy S II is getting a new update, though it’s very minor. The new build is LH1 and it stays on 4.0.3 (which is too bad, Samsung’s 4.0.4 builds are a massive improvement). You’ll need the Kies computer software to install the update. The changelog states bug fixes and “ISIS/NFC update” which is very interesting. This is the first trace… Read more

HTC One S Getting Sense 4.1 Update In Europe

It has been reported that the Android 4.0.4 update is being pushed to unlocked HTC One S devices all over Europe through OTA. This comes about a week after the One X got the same update. It bumps the version of Sense to 4.1, which is a big update. This should fix some bugs, make the camera faster, and if it’s anything like the update for its bigger… Read more

International HTC One X Update: Android 4.0.4, Camera Enhancements, Multitasking Button Settings

HTC has finally fixed something I have considered to be the failing point of their One series of phones, though the fix has only rolled out to two phones. After the AT&T One X got an update, the international model is getting the same one. Along with a new but minor version of Android and some camera improvements, the multitasking button is getting a… Read more

PSA: Temporary CWM.zip Found To Brick Galaxy Note Too

It looks like they’ve found another thing that could be triggering the infamous eMMC brick bug. Apparently temporary CWM.zip contains the code necessary to cause a brick. These temporary zips are used to root the Note, when there is no custom kernel present. They should not be used for any reason, they can brick your phone. The recoveries in most… Read more

Verizon’s Samsung DROID Charge Receiving Minor Update

The Samsung DROID Charge will soon be receiving an update, but it isn’t anything major. It’s simply a bug fixer, so don’t get too excited. However, the changelog seems to be from the older FP1 update with all the details moved around, so it may not be accurate. Just know it’s a minor 19.3MB update that will hopefully make your Charge run better. Hit the… Read more
