Sprint and HTC Giving Away Official TPU Cases Along with the EVO 4G LTE and a ‘Sorry’ Letter
Gagadget and Engadget have their hands on some leaked promotional material that just so happens to match up with some teasers littered around CES by Sony Ericsson. The device appears to be the Sony Ericsson Anzu, renamed for release as the Xperia Arc. Rumored specs on the Arc aren't mind blowing, but they aren't anything to just push aside either: "1GHz... LG has put out a press release on the mysterious Optimus Black believed to be the LG B from a couple weeks back. It would appear that is indeed the case. The LG Optimus Black features a 4" NOVA display, Android 2.2 (with 2.3 upgrade eligibility), Wi-Fi Direct, 2MP front-facing camera, Optimus UI 2.0, 1500mAh battery, and comes in at only 9.2 mm thick. Ma Bell is officially rocking Android as of today. Apparently AT&T grew to like the idea of selling powerful Android devices after jumping on board the Samsung Galaxy S train with last year's Captivate. After announcing the dual-core Motorola Atrix 4G at CES this morning, AT&T, along with Samsung, has announced another 4G gadget, the Infuse 4G. Infuse 4G is a... Read more »
Aside from the Samsung Captivate--a Galaxy S device--AT&T has been slow on the uptake when it comes to attaining serious Android contenders, but all of that changed today with the Announcement of the Motorola Atrix 4G, ready to rock AT&T's HSPA+ network. The gadget features Android 2.2 (upgradable to 2.3), a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB... Read more »
CES 2011 is off to a busy start this year. Just two days before CES officially kicks off, ASUS has shown off a whole slew of products, and LG has three high-end devices all running Android in the works - The KT Identity Tab, the Optimus Black, and the LG Revolution. The KT Identity Tab should probably look familiar, as the device was first outed nearly three... Read more »
Well, we all knew that CES would be bearing some sweet Android tablets, but ASUS' offerings are of the category bending variety, resting somewhere between tablets and netbooks. The first--the Eee Pad MeMo--looks like a giant phone. Not much is known about the device except that it comes with a stylus--whether the tech is capitative or resistive, we know not--and... I can't exactly say that I stand corrected because I never explicitly stated that the Inbrics M1 would not be found at CES. I just pointed out that one of the company's promotional videos seemed to be intentionally vague and ambiguous about the most fundamental aspects of their QWERTY-packing Android slider. While I didn't get a chance to go hands on with the M1... Read more »
Pocket Lint was at CES and got a quick video of a microwave running Android. We've been talking about Android appliances for some time, but it seems that we are finally beginning to see some practical applications of the concept. Not practical, you say? As is mentioned at the end of the video below, Android could fetch the recommended microwave time and power... Read more »
As the news from CES rolls in, we catch sightings of more and more things we never knew we would see, like an Xperia X10 Mini. The Robyn (codename), is shaping up to be quite the power-house with WLAN, HSPA, 3.5MM audio jack, and 5MP auto focus camera. I think I speak for everyone when I say I really wanna see what this little guy is all about. We can't even get... Read more »
What have we here, an HP Mini look alike running Android? With a resistive 10 inch touch screen being powered by a Snapdragon? Nice. Not much else is known about this mysterious HP Mini prototype but if it's running Android call me good to go. You can find a couple more pictures here, as well as video before too long. Via...
