I don't have a Droid on hand - let alone a spare that I can tinker and test with - so I can't personally verify that the Droid has been rooted. However, that is the word. EDIT: I should have made it clear that while the update file is currently available, it isn't coming directly from Verizon just yet. I would recommend waiting. Droid owners can now update their device to Android 2.0.1 by following the instructions here. A PDF listing the changes can be found as well, but here's what it says you can expect.
