HTC Legend review

After three iterations of the ground-breaking Hero, HTC is building upon previous successes (even those of other manufacturers) rather than reinventing the wheel with Legend. Sense, Android 2.1, 5MP cam, and a lust-worthy design do make this the Jewel in the Hero crown. The Legend combines the bold, polarizing form of the original European Hero’s… Read more

HTC Legend unboxing and hands on

Thanks to our friends at eXpansys for hooking DroidDog up with an HTC Legend for review. In this video, I unbox the phone and take a quick look at the hard and software. After using the phone for about 24 hours, I’m loving the design, form factor, optical joystick and of course Sense. I’m not to sure about the hardware buttons below the screen as opposed to… Read more

Legend and Desire hacked

Paul O’brien, hacker extraordinaire and head honcho over at MoDaCo, has rooted HTC’s Legend and Desire devices, as evidenced by the photo after the break. A tutorial won’t go public until Paul has had some time to work out kinks and test and such, but it is coming. I am currently running MoDaCo’s Desire Alpha 19 and became an ad-free member of the site… Read more

Noah’s HTC Legend unboxing

In terms of looks alone, I think this might be my favorite from HTC’s new generation of Androids. The specs of Hero’s successor don’t quite match up to…say, the N1 or EVO, but it does run 2.1 and that unibody aluminum casing looks mighty solid to me. And while I haven’t held one in my hand just yet, I really, really want to. I might not get the chance for… Read more

Legend unboxing and first boot

SlashGear recently got their hands on HTC’s follw-up to the Hero, Legend, and you can check out a slew of images of the two devices sitting next to one another over at their site. As a fan of the original design, I have to say that I think Legend is incredibly sexy. Had it the specs of the hotly anticipated Bravo (Desire) I’m not sure I could choose between… Read more

HTC Legend pricing announced for UK carrier

It was just a week ago when the rumor about HTC Legend and the Hero2 would be hitting the shelves of Sprint first took center stage. Though it seems that, that is no longer the case here. It was officially announced recently that the HTC Legend will be released from Vodafone UK in April. It is also mentioned on Expansys, an online mobile device retailer,… Read more

Hands on with Legend at MWC

Ewan MacLeod of PhoneDog is still stalking the reps at the HTC booth in Barcelona, and I’m very happy that he is. In this video, he gets a quick look at the successor to the Hero, Legend. I’ve always been partial to the look if the GSM Hero, and I’m loving the inspiration seen in Legend. Damn, that is a sexy phone. Video after the break…. Read more

Legend and Desire – First Look videos from HTC

If I were choosing between the two devices for myself, I would have to go with Desire for specs alone. But damn, Legend is a thing of beauty. I would love to see a Snapdragon in an aluminum unibody with Sense. Looks like we’ll probably be waiting a bit before either of these come Stateside – possibly with different names – if they come at all. I expect… Read more
