Bell Canada launches Motorola DEXT
Bell Canada recently announced the release of the Motorola DEXT. This Android 1.5 packing device is the same as the CLIQ here in the States. It has a 5 MP AF camera and slide out QWERTY keyboard. $79.95 CAD isn't a bad price for an Android smartphone these days. Bell launches the exclusive Android-powered Motorola DEXT™ featuring MOTOBLUR™: mobile social... Read more » Square Motowhat = Motorola Flipout
Hey... Don't I know you from somewhere? I know I've never actually met you, you just seem really familiar. I think the last time I saw you, you were doing math. What's your name? The Flipout? Interesting. Alright, alright, alright. Enough of that. I'm sure all you faithful DroidDog fans know what I was talking about. Let's forget that just happened shall... Motorola's Devour is now available at Verizon stores and at their website for $149.99 with the activation of a new two year contract. The phone, which ships with Android 1.6, features a 3.1", 320 x 480, HVGA screen; slide-out QWERTY; 3.0MP cam with video capture; optical trackpad; and MotoBlur. What do you think? Is $149 a good price for these budget specs? The full... Read more » Motorola i1
You might recognize this Blur / Android 1.5 device as the Opus One, and you'd be right. There isn't much to be told quite yet about this Motorola branded iDEN Android device, but with CTIA right around the corner, that will change. Normally I wouldn't dedicate an entire article to something like this, I just think it's exciting to see yet another Android phone... Read more » Backflip unboxing from PhoneDog
I can't say I'm super excited about this one but Moto's follow-up to the Cliq is AT&T's first Android and employs a nifty method for navigating the screen called backtrack (not to mention that kooky out-facing folding QWERTY). This one hits stores on March 7th for $99.99 on contract. I got to play with the Backflip a bit at CES and it was a nice looking device. A... Read more » AT&T announces the Motorola Backflip
I got to check this one out in Las Vegas last month, and I walked away from the even wishing that the phone had some better specs (it is a budget device) and wondering if that keyboard, which is on the back of the phone when not in use, would be damaged in my pocket. The backtrack feature is pretty neat - allowing you no navigate the screen without obscuring your... Read more » Hands on with the Cliq XT (Quench)
Check out PhoneDog's European man on the scene reporting from Barcelona on the Cliq XT, otherwise known as Quench. It ships with Swype and is without a physical QWERTY. It's got MotoBlur on top of Android 1.5> Has pinch-to-zoom and a nice looking virtual kb, but the screen is 3.1 inches at 320 x 480. Look for it on T-Mobile next month. Via... Taking a page out of T-Mobile's book (see: Catherine Zeta-Jones), Motorola has started a new ad campaign using Megan Fox as their MOTOBLUR spokesperson. Can anyone out there think of a better way to start the campaign than to put Ms. Fox in a bathtub sending out pictures via BLUR? No? Then we are on the same page. The Superbowl ad most of you have seen by now... Read more » Zeppelin, in the…flesh?
The last phone in that leaked Motorola roadmap (first image below) has finally been spotted in the wild. The Zepellin (second image) is said to me launching on T-Mobile US on March 10th, packing March 10th release date. 3.2-inch display, 5 MP cam, GPS, and MotoBlur. If you're reading this on the DroidDog homepage, click on through for the Zeppelin snap.... Read more »
