I need help! (first thread)

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum, I just my Droid today and LOVE IT!

I just have a quick question. During a phone convo, the screen keeps turning on and off, and it flashes on and off...it doesnt affect the sound at all...but it is a little odd...

anyone know what the problem is?

This is just off the top of my head, but I think it may have something to do with the light sensor. When your phone is in a call and its dark it assumes it is pressed against your ear so it goes dark. When you would pull it away you might be looking at the screen so it goes light again. I know phones used to have a manual option for it. Now it's just automatic.
