ring delay

I have a Hero and I'm experiencing a lot of ring delays when someone is trying to call me. Sometimes they hear 4-5 rings before I hear anything on the Hero. Sometimes they hang up before my phone even rings. Went to the Sprint store and the salesman stated that it was a network issue and not the phone, but my wife has a Instinct and she never has that problem. Is it Android or just the hero or is it my phone?:confused:

I had the same problem with Euro Hero's original ROM. I ended up flashing modaco's ROM's and it went away.
