eris sms plz help

Hi I'm new to the forums I love my eris but
my issue is there is no tracker for sms sent
and I racked up a thread of over 5000 txts
Ive tried everything to delete It left it sitting
Over night woke up and my phone was just
Frozen had to remove the battery and It makes
My whole sms app ( chompsms ) lag and it has to
Be that thread cuz everything else on my phone
Runs smoothly no problems I know other people
have had this Issue and I just have not yet to find
an answer I heard smsquickdelete app worked for
one person but I tried it several times and it just
freezes so I was wondering if there was anything
I could do within the phone like a hard reset or
something thanks in advance

SMS threads should be kept to 100 text or less. Otherwise too much of your device memory is being used and as you can see takes a toll on the phone. At this point I would try to delete the chomp app first and if that does not work then a master reset is your only other alternative.
