1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Call Settings
3. Select Voicemail
4. Write down the number. Mine is 18056377243 It may be different for you. Don't inlcude the + sign, if you have one (press cancel when you're done)
5. Back out to the home screen and go to Dialer.
6. Enter this: **61*VOICEMAILNUMBER**30# Then press dial. It will set your cell phone to go to voicemail after 30 seconds. (30 seconds is the maximum).Also if your voicemail number is like mine, it would be: **61*18056377243**30#
7. Now call your cellphone again with another phone and verify that it takes 30 seconds. (Valid number of seconds are 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30. Don't use anything else)
*Note: G1 is preset with a 25 second ring period.
