Back at the early part of January, right around the time that the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas was going on, T-Mobile USA was being questioned as to why they weren't announcing any new devices at the trade show. While they didn't have a big presence at the event, they did manage to unveil a new handset, which was set to launch sometime later this year. That... Earlier today we reported that Ubuntu would officially be making its way to Android phones, offering a full desktop experience. While the phones don't run the OS on its own display, it is instead outputted via a docking station with a keyboard and mouse. This allows a single phone to run both a desktop and mobile OS, in theory creating the perfect device. Some of... Read more » LG Spectrum and HTC Rezound now on the cheap, $99 from Verizon
The LG Spectrum and HTC Rezound have received a very lukewarm response from the Android community, and Verizon is beginning to sense that. Both phones have been dropped to a very reasonable $99 on two-year contract, which is a very good deal considering that both phones feature a dual-core processor and LTE radios. In some ways they even out-spec the Motorola DROID... Read more » Ubuntu coming to Android, allows any phone with a dual-core processor to run a full desktop OS

Samsung and AT&T have just began to roll out an update to the Galaxy S II Skyrocket, and it sounds like the update isn't going very smoothly. It has failed for some users, so owners of the Skyrocket beware. While the update doesn't bring Ice Cream Sandwich, it does appear to be a minor 21MB maintenance update. No change-log is currently available, but we'll let you... Read more » Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi gets taste of CyanogenMod 9 pre-Alpha
